No!
Don’t worry about mastering the language, we just ask that you familiarize yourself with the basics before you leave. This will not only show the family that you are eager to learn, but will also make it easier for you to adapt.
Based on your weekly working hours, you will receive 80€ per week for 25 hours of work, and 100€ per week for 30 hours of work.
You will be matched with a family once you have completed all the required paperwork. Please note that the matching process can take between 1 to 8 weeks, as we aim to ensure the best fit for you. You will be notified each time a family requests an interview.
Interviews will be conducted via Skype, and it’s recommended that you speak with the family at least twice to ensure you feel comfortable and have all your questions answered.
You may have Skype interviews with one family or several, depending on what works best for you. This process can vary for each participant.
Absolutely!
In fact, we can’t emphasize this enough. Once you’ve been matched with a family, it’s a good idea to email or call them a few times before you depart, as maintaining regular contact helps build a connection and ensures everyone is on the same page.
Most interviews are held via Skype, so make sure you have a reliable internet connection and a working webcam. Video calls or FaceTime are also commonly used for interviews!
Hopefully, this situation won’t occur due to the thorough screening of your application.
Club RCI has extensive experience in interviewing participants and understands what families are looking for.
You can let us know if you have a preferred location, but please keep in mind that this is not guaranteed. We focus on matching participants with host families based on shared interests, hobbies, and experience rather than just location. Remember, you’ll have plenty of free time to socialize and explore Spain. If you’d like to visit a different city for the weekend, you can easily make plans with your new friends!
The fee is payable only after your match with a host family has been confirmed.
No, the fee does not include flights. You will be responsible for arranging and covering the cost of your own travel to Spain.
Families typically pay you in cash. However, if you have a preferred payment method, you can discuss it with the family in more detail once your match has been confirmed.
– Only applicable to:
- Au Pair
- Au Pair Plus
- Demi Pair
