Health insurance in Spain
For Non-EU citizens, it is MANDATORY to have private health and accident insurance during their stay in Spain. It is also necessary to obtain a student visa. We offer a special flat rate of 20 euros/week through Guard.me, which provides full multi-risk coverage.
For citizens of the EU and Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, it is advisable to obtain a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) from your national healthcare provider to receive basic medical care. This card gives access to the Spanish National Health Service for essential medical needs.
However, we also recommend that EU citizens take out private insurance to ensure full coverage during their stay. We can offer you a multi-risk policy, cancellation and travel insurance with Guard.me for a flat rate of 10 €/week for your peace of mind.
